Canoe rental in Oulu and Rokua

CANOES

Canoeing is an excellent way to explore nature and to fish in shallow waters. Our rental canoes are delivered to the desired location or can be picked up from Rokua.

Our canoes are durable and spacious, a model called Indian-style, with space for three people. Yuma canoes are great for family trips on lakes. The capacity of a canoe is 300 kg and the space is comfortable for two adults and one child, with all equipment needed for a day trip. Canoes move firmly and steadily in the water. Getting in and out of a canoe is easy, and comfortable seats makes your trip enjoyable.

Snow Shoes rental in Rokua

SNOW SHOES

Snowshoeing is a fun and wonderful way to explore Rokua UNESCO Global Geopark in winter. Atteson also rents snow shoes for large groups.

SUP BOARDS

SUP boarding is suitable for anyone who is interested in water sports, regardless of age and fitness level. SUP board is also not limited to sunny and windless days only.
With a SUP board you can paddle anywhere in the stunning waters of Rokua. The flat surface of the SUP board also allows the board to be used for yoga and for various fitness exercises. Water brings its own challenge to movements, and especially your core gets great exercise.

Atteson’s boat trips together with an experienced with local guide are a great way to explore the waterways of Oulu region!

On our boat trips you can enjoy the scenery of Lake Oulujärvi, Oulu River, or sea areas outside the city of Oulu, with a professional guide, in a well-equipped, safe boat.

CAMPING TRIPS

With Atteson Nature Tours, you can explore Rokua’s nature and stay over the night in a tent in the forest.

Make an overnight trip to the beautiful, quiet nature of Rokua, staying in a large tent. During the trip, we get to know the basics of camping and make wooden rods for fishing. We also prepare an evening dinner and breakfast using open fire.

WORKSHOPS

Atteson workshops are informative camps where we get to know the nature and do-it-yourself building. For example, we can build birdhouses.

Build your own, traditional Finnish birdhouse from organic materials! At the end of a pragmatic workshop, we are hanging up ready-made birdhouses in the forests of Rokua. Ask about combining a birdhouse workshop to a camping trip!

FINNISH SAUNA

Bring your team, tour group or family to spend an evening enjoying the traditional Finnish cottage sauna!

Spend a relaxing evening on the shore of Lake Kirvesjärvi in a cozy cottage, where you can enjoy the heat of a Finnish sauna. Depending on the season, you can either take a dip in the refreshing lake water or roll in the clear snow. In winter it may also be possible to arrange a chance for ice swimming! After sauna, we’ll enjoy a light evening meal.

NATURE WALKS

We also offer guided walking trips to the beautiful, peaceful nature of Rokua.
Atteson nature walks can be customized according to customer needs and season. A day trip includes not only a walk in the nature, but also a light lunch or sausage prepared with an open fire. In autumn season it’s also possible to collect mushrooms and berries!
